APM TerminalsJob Title: Warehouse Manager – Yard ManagementLocation: Commercial Vehicle Yard - Panvel , MaharashtraJob PurposeTo oversee end-to-end yard operations for commercial vehicles, ensuring vehicle health checks, export readiness, stakeholder communication, and P&L accountability. The role demands strategic planning, strong leadership, and operational excellence to maintain yard efficiency and customer satisfaction.🔍 Key Responsibilities🚚 Yard & Vehicle ManagementEnsure systematic parking, tracking, and movement of commercial vehicles within the yardConduct regular health checks (battery, tyre, fluid levels, etc.) for all parked vehiclesCoordinate with technical teams for preventive maintenance and readiness checksMonitor vehicle aging and initiate timely actions to avoid deterioration📦 Warehouse & Export OperationsOversee inbound and outbound logistics, including export documentation and complianceLiaise with export teams to ensure timely dispatches and adherence to international standardsMaintain accurate inventory records and reconcile physical vs. system stock📣 Stakeholder CommunicationAct as the primary point of contact for customer teams and internal departmentsProvide proactive updates on vehicle status, dispatch schedules, and yard KPIsEscalate operational bottlenecks with structured solutions and timelines👥 Team & Vendor ManagementLead a team of yard supervisors, drivers, and support staff with clear KPIsConduct regular training and performance reviews to build operational capabilityAlign third-party vendors for security, housekeeping, and technical services📊 Financial & P&L AccountabilityMonitor and manage the warehouse P&L, including cost control and budget adherenceOptimize resource utilization to reduce overheads and improve marginsPrepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis for leadership reviewQualifications & SkillsCriterian DetailsEducation Any Graduate (Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering; MBA preferred)Experience 7–10 years in warehouse/yard operations, preferably in automotive or export logisticsTechnical Skills Yard management systems, export documentation, vehicle diagnosticsSoft Skills Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, team leadershipOther Knowledge of commercial vehicle handling, export compliance, and safety protocolsMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
