Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for all activities related to shipping, warehousing, coil receiving, knowledge of the Telia dashboard, and inventory of finished tubular goods and saw areas.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage operations to achieve world class shipping and warehouse efficiencyDevelop, recommend, and implement continuous improvement practices to reduce waste and inefficienciesDevelop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures for shipping operationsPromote and enforce health and safety work practices as required by Atlas and occupational safety and health standardsProvide expertise and training to all shipping areas Effectively communicate short- and long-term objectives to the Warehouse team Collaborate with production, logistics, quality, sales, production planning and HR to improve processes practices to reduce waste and inefficienciesBuild and maintain a positive team-oriented environment amongst shipping personnelOversee, supervise, train, discipline shipping operations personnelReview daily shipping reports for compliance and to resolve issues to ensure minimal costs and prevent shipping delaysEnsure that inventory accuracy is maintainedDevelop shipping, vacation, and training schedules for shipping personnel and coil receivers. Evaluate employee performance objectively based upon the job requirements and behavioral indicators of performanceImmediately report suspected security incidents and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive informationDelegate work to appropriate personnel and provide accurate, complete, and timely instructions for the completion of such workRegular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role.Perform other related duties as assignedEducation/Qualifications/ExperienceBachelor Degree in Business Management in an industrial, manufacturing or warehousing related field is preferred ORA minimum of five (5) years in warehousing and shipping, or related tube or pipe mill supervisory experience. Knowledge of steel tube/pipe production is preferredDemonstrated strong leadership and communication skills.Able to adapt quickly and effectively to meet the needs of the organization.Demonstrated fundamental working knowledge of warehousing and shipping, plant, industrial and manufacturing concepts.Proven decision making, problem resolution, communication and organizational time management skills.Ability to multitask and manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrate planning ahead for on-time loading within 2 hours, including preloads.3PL experience including JIT and rail loading is desired.Thorough knowledge of SAP and MS-Office Suite including Telia dashboard and crane HMI.Physical RequirementsBend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull.
