Join our team as a Warehouse Operative based at our distribution centre in Tankersley.We are looking for hard working individuals that are enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge to join our warehouse team at our Distribution Centre in Tankersley, South Yorkshire.Someone who have strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work as part of a team within a busy chill and ambient warehouse environment. The working hours are from 6am to 2pm, Tuesday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on SaturdayPM ShiftVacancy B - 37.5 hours per week working Sunday to Thursday. The working hours are from 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 6pm on SundaysVacancy C - 37.5 hours per week working Tuesday to Saturday. The working hours are from 2pm to 10pm, Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 6pm on SaturdayNight ShiftVacancy D - 37.5 hours per week working Sunday to Thursday. The working hours are from 10pm to 6amVacancy E - 37.5 hours per week working Tuesday to Saturday. The working hours are from 10pm to 6amVacancy F - 38 hours per week working Friday to Monday. The working hours are from 10pm to 8amPlease note, all roles will involve working in the chill and ambient departmentsLocation: Company Shop Group, Tankersley Distribution Centre, Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DHRate of pay: £12.25 per hour, paid on a four weekly basisNight Premium: Employees assigned to the night shift will receive a night shift allowance of £1.25 per hourPlease note, our team operates around the clock, 24/7, and the successful candidates will be required to work bank holidaysRequirementsAccountabilities and responsibilities:Checking Goods into the Warehouse when a delivery is unloadedChecking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouseTaking sorted stock to the appropriate storage space or arranging for the appropriate vehicle to move the stockKeeping accurate records of stock on the warehouse management system, so it can be located quickly Ensure that products are stored safely and labelled/disclaimed correctly and safely and Supervisor or Manager are advised of any items that are not correctAdhere to all environmental, food safety and quality/ hygiene procedures when undertaking duties Processing the product through various packing lines and processes ensure food safety, brand protection and legality The use of machines and equipment may be required to process the productsSorting, checking, weighing, labelling and ink-jetting productsPicking orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space and taking to the packing teamsPlace stock on pallets, ensuring it is then correctly wrapped and labelled ready for delivery to the storesOrganising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles Ensure that all areas are kept to a high standard Ensure that all paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner using the correct document and system The use of technology to input data Ensure all Health & Safety processes are followed at all timesEnsure that KPI's are achieved What we require from you:A can do attitudeReliability and commitment to workDedication and enthusiasmGood communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team to deliver resultsBenefitsWhat's in it for you:Free membership to Company Shop for you and 10 x nomineesAnnual Flu Injections, high street & leisure vouchers, and on-site ParkingOnsite café, Free Tea & Coffee, and Free Fruit FridayEmployee Assistance Programme - Grocery AidEligible for Costco membership, Cycle 2 Work, and UK Fuel card discountsContributory pension scheme with death in service benefitJoin us on the journey: Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of something extraordinary.
