Job Title: Warehouse Operative Location: Medguard’s Head Office Reporting to: Warehouse Supervisor Contract: Indefinite Duration Working Hours: Monday –Friday 8 hours between 7:30 am-6:30 pm as rostered. About the Role This role is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures. The Warehouse Operative will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and other team members to maintain a safe, organised, and productive warehouse environment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Inbound Stock & Goods Inwards Receive deliveries of packaging and stock, check quantities, and store items tidily. Inspect all goods entering the warehouse, record receipts, and pass paperwork to the admin team. Ensure goods are stored correctly and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) is applied. Receive and process medicinal stock in accordance with SOPs and GDP (Guidelines 2013/C 68/01). Maintain cleanliness and security of all storage areas. Stock Maintenance & Order Fulfilment Monitor expiry dates and report products approaching their sell-by date. Pick and pack customer orders as requested, ensuring compliance with SOP/GDP. Dispatch orders with appropriate paperwork and packaging. Load couriers with goods for delivery. Housekeeping & General Duties Keep warehouse and external areas clean and tidy, including shelf dusting and litter removal. Complete annual stocktake as required. Process customer returns in line with GDP and remain vigilant for falsified medicines. Maintain good personal hygiene and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements. Take daily temperature readings of the warehouse and report any excursions. Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures and company policies. Perform other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary by Medguard Healthcare. Required Experience and Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable. Familiarity with GDP guidelines and SOPs is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and security.
