This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate supply to project sites, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of construction supply chains and safety protocols.Key responsibilitiesInventory & Stock ControlReceive, inspect, and store incoming goods including civil, structural, and electrical materials.Pick and pack orders accurately for delivery to infrastructure project sites.Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.Label and organize stock in accordance with warehouse layout and safety standards.Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor.Dispatch & Logistics SupportPrepare goods for transport, ensuring correct documentation and secure packaging.Load and unload delivery vehicles using forklifts or other equipment.Coordinate with transport providers and site managers to meet delivery schedules.Assist in scheduling deliveries based on project timelines and site access requirements.Maintain records of dispatches, returns, and transport manifests.Warehouse OperationsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.Follow WHS procedures and report hazards or incidents promptly.Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of warehouse facilities.Team CollaborationWork closely with procurement, logistics, and project teams to ensure supply continuity.Support onboarding and training of new warehouse staff when required.Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability.Key relationships:Internal: Production Teams, Warehouse Team, Project Teams and other business teams as required.External: Suppliers, Freight & Logistics providersEducation, work experience & skills and personal attributesWork Experience and skillsMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse operation, preferably in construction or infrastructure supplyForklift license (LF/LO) and experience with heavy or oversized materials.Basic computer skills for inventory systems and dispatch documentation.Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for manual handling tasks.Personal Attributes:Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.High attention to detail and an organised approach to tracking stock and deliveries.Confidence to liaise across departments and with external suppliers.A team-first mindset and willingness to adapt in a fast-paced production environment.KPI's & Target Examples:Order Accuracy = 98%+On-Time Dispatch = 95%+Inventory Variance = <2%Safety Compliance = 100% adherenceSite Delivery Satisfaction = Positive feedback from project teams
