Job Description

The Wealth Manager is responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), corporates, and institutional investors. The ideal candidate will drive investment sales, deepen client relationships, and consistently meet monthly disbursement and AUM targets while representing Sycamore’s investment offerings with professionalism and insight.Key Responsibilities Client Acquisition & SalesPromote and sell Sycamore’s asset management and fixed-income products (including bonds, commercial papers, treasury bills, and other structured investments).Identify, prospect, and onboard HNIs, corporates, and institutional clients through referrals, networking, and strategic business development activities.Achieve a monthly disbursement target of ₦500M and contribute to overall AUM growth.Client Advisory & Portfolio ManagementConduct detailed investment and financial needs assessments to recommend suitable products aligned with client goals and risk appetite.Provide market insights and investment recommendations to clients based on current economic and capital market trends.Monitor and review client portfolios periodically, advising on rebalancing, reinvestment, and rollover opportunities.Relationship ManagementMaintain regular communication with clients to build trust, enhance loyalty, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction.Resolve client inquiries and issues promptly while providing a personalized investment experience.Deepen relationships with existing clients to generate additional investment inflows.Internal Collaboration & ComplianceWork closely with the investment, operations, research, and compliance teams to ensure accurate execution of investment transactions and regulatory adherence.Maintain accurate documentation, client records, and sales pipelines using CRM tools.Stay updated on financial markets, evolving products, industry trends, and competitor activities.Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIS, ACCA) is an added advantage.Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in wealth management, investment sales, or financial advisory, with a strong track record of closing fixed-income or structured investment deals.In-depth understanding of the Nigerian capital market, fixed-income securities (bonds, CPs, T-bills), and portfolio management principles.Exceptional sales, negotiation, and business development skills.Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts simply and clearly.Proven ability to build and maintain strong client networks, especially among HNIs and corporates.High level of professionalism, integrity, and client-centric focus.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.Resilience, persistence, and a results-oriented mindset.
