With 20+ years of expertise in hosting and digital transformation, LDC delivers high-availability cloud, hosting, and managed services to enterprise, corporate, and SMB customers across the MEA region.Job Description: Web Hosting EngineerResponsibilitiesManage and support web hosting environments including shared hosting, VPS, and dedicated hosting.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot:Web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS)Mail servers and hosting-related email issuesDNS services, domain configurations, and SSL certificates.Maintain and administer hosting control panels such as cPanel, Plesk, WHM, and CloudLinux.Handle performance tuning for hosted websites and applications.Ensure hosting platform uptime, availability, and security.Troubleshoot customer hosting issues including database connectivity, DNS misconfigurations, email delivery problems, and website downtime.Monitor system performance and proactively identify hosting-related risks.Coordinate with the infrastructure and cloud teams on server provisioning, scaling, and migrations.Perform regular security audits, patching, and updates on hosting servers.Support customer onboarding and migration from legacy hosting platforms.Maintain documentation for hosting procedures and customer setups.Provide Tier 2 technical support for hosting incidents and escalations.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.2–4 years of experience in Web Hosting or Server Administration.Strong knowledge of:Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu) & Windows ServercPanel/WHM, Plesk, and hosting management toolsWeb servers: Apache, Nginx, IISDNS management, domain setup, SSL, CDNEmail hosting (SMTP, IMAP, DKIM, SPF)Experience with virtualization or cloud platforms (VMware, Azure, AWS) is a plus.Understanding of MySQL/MariaDB basics (not DBA-level).Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds).Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.Hosting-related certifications are an advantage.
