Web Publisher (Japanese & English Speaking)Location: Japan or within ±2 hours (Hybrid – 3 days in office per week)Contract Length: 12 months + extensionsYou’ll be joining a global digital team to support the transformation of a major Japanese-language website as part of a wider digital marketing programme.You will be responsible for updating, enhancing, and maintaining web content for the Japanese site, managing translation workflows, and working with global stakeholders to implement new features and ensure digital consistency across regions.This is a hands-on role for someone fluent in Japanese and English, with experience in content management, translation processes, and website publishing within a large, international environment.Job Responsibilities:Create, edit, and publish content on the Japanese-language website.Review translated content including web pages, images, documents, transcripts, and charts.Ensure all translated content aligns with SEO best practices.Collaborate with engineering teams on site structure changes and new features.Manage translation workflows using project management tools (e.g., Workfront).Maintain web accessibility standards across published content.Work closely with global and local teams to ensure accuracy and digital brand alignment.Participate in occasional calls outside normal working hours to support global partners.Skills you’ll need:Excellent written and spoken Japanese and English.Experience using a CMS (Adobe Experience Manager preferred).Background in multilingual website publishing, translation processes, SEO, or analytics.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.High attention to detail, highly organised, and confident managing multiple workstreams.Nice to have:Experience in large-scale digital projects.Knowledge of SEO, SEM, analytics, A/B testing, or personalisation.Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first principles.Experience using Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or Search Console.Familiarity with video platforms and managing translated transcripts.Apply now or email Barry.Ansell@HarringtonStarr.com for a faster review.
