Job Description
This role requires an entry-level individual who wants to be skilled in web development and also want to be capable of providing technical support and assistance to end-users. The dual-function staff member will be trained to play a crucial role in building and maintaining web applications and ensuring that users have the necessary support when facing technical issues..ResponsibilitiesWeb Applications Development:Design, develop, and maintain web applications, websites, and related systems.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for web development projects.Write clean and efficient code using programming languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, PHP, Python, RestAPI, NodeJS, MySQL, etc is an added advantage).Ensure web applications are responsive, user-friendly, and secure.Test and debug web applications to identify and resolve issues.Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web development.Help Desk Support:Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.Assist users with password resets, account setup, and access issues.Diagnose and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to higher-level support if necessary.Educate end-users on software and system usage.Maintain documentation of common issues and resolutions for future reference.Participate in on-call support as needed to address urgent technical issues.System Maintenance:Monitor and maintain web servers, databases, and other infrastructure related to web applications.Implement security updates, patches, and backups to ensure system reliability and data integrity.Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize web application performance.Communication and Training:Communicate effectively with end-users, explaining technical concepts in non-technical language.Conduct training sessions or create user guides to empower end-users to resolve common issues independently.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Science / Engineering, or IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proficiency in web development technologies and programming languages.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Interest in learning new technologies
