Project DirectorGeneral Description: Full-time Project Director will be hired to work with our Project Management Unit. We are looking for candidates who will work in Ankara to support the Project Management Team in achieving its objectives, ensuring that awarded projects are completed within the targeted budget, time, and scope, and thus supporting the targeted position of WEglobal at the national and international level. Office Location: WEglobal Ankara officeExpectation: University diploma from preferably engineering departments in universities in which language of instruction is English. Master’s degree is an asset. Candidates who are resident or want to live in Ankara.
Minimum 8 years of general professional experience, 5 years in project management, and 1 year in team management. Fluency in English (written and oral) and native-level proficiency in the resident country’s language. Knowledge of EU rules and project coordination. Good command of Microsoft Office programs. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Flexible and eager to support other units as needed. PMP Certification is an asset. Key Job Duties: Manage project teams, coordinate office setup, and liaise with stakeholders. Ensure smooth communication with the Beneficiary, Contracting Authority, and consortium members. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Ensure project reports, outputs, and deliverables meet quality standards. Conduct administrative support, expert mobilization, and contract management. Monitor financial performance, profit rates, and budget allocations. Utilize internal QC tools and templates in project management. Organize and attend networking meetings and training sessions. Prepare necessary management reports and ensure lessons learned are documented. Ensure compliance with project requirements and WEglobal principles. Reports directly to Head of PMU and indirectly to General Manager. Supervises Project backstopping team. Effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills are essential. Project Management Training and PMP certification are preferred.
