The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for welding and fabrication projects, reviewing blueprints and technical specifications, and collaborating with customers and team members to understand project requirements. Responsibilities include sourcing materials, calculating labor and production costs, and submitting detailed proposals. The Welding Estimator will also ensure compliance with industry standards and contribute to the successful planning and execution of projects. Qualifications Knowledge in welding, fabrication, and a strong understanding of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminumProficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and project specificationsExperience with cost estimation, including labor, materials, and production calculationsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, engineers, and project teamsTime management and organization skills to manage multiple estimates and deadlinesAttention to detail and the ability to ensure project compliance with industry codes and standardsFamiliarity with welding and fabrication tools, methods, and safety best practicesExperience in construction or industrial projects is an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office or project management software is advantageous
