Join the team in Johannesburg as a Welding Technology Lecturer and make an impact by delivering world-class training aligned with national and international standards.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Degree or National Diploma in Engineering.SAIW Fabrication and Welding Inspector Level 2.Certification as Inspector of Pressurised Equipment or Competent Person.Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience.Key Responsibilities Include:Training Delivery | Conduct training for: SAIW Fabrication and Welding Inspector Level 1 & 2.International Welding Practitioners (IWP).International Welding Specialists (IWS).Deliver lectures at SAIW, client sites, and other venues as required.Curriculum Development: Develop course materials for ASME and EN standards.Review and update content every three years or upon code changes.Create classroom exercises aligned with international standards.Examinations & Student Support: Prepare, conduct, and invigilate examinations.Mentor and guide students to ensure professional growth.Marketing & Industry Engagement: Promote the Institute’s services during courses and events.Assist in organising industry-related visits for practical training.Standards Alignment: Ensure all training content meets national and international standards.Key Attributes & SkillsStrong knowledge of welding inspection and engineering standards.Expertise in developing and delivering technical training.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Commitment to continuous learning and industry advancements.Ability to inspire and mentor students effectively.
