Job Description

Position SummaryThe Administrative Assistant performs a variety of general administrative/clerical tasksResponsibilities Logs and tracks verbal or written member grievances and appeals Process corporate accounts receivable adjustments in accordance with the policies and procedures for past due accounts and erroneous balances Assist regional managers with reporting and ad-hoc queries as to the offices with highest uncollectible amounts as well as trends and potential training opportunities Answer inbound calls from patients on account queries Process inter-office transfers between patient accounts and/or dental offices Work with the field billers on educating them on repetitive errors and/or complex billing processes As needed posting/adjusting of certain payments received from insurance carriers and/or patients Assist the AR team in ad-hoc month end reports and projects Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesPrior front office experience in the medical/dental industry preferredStrong MS Office experience (Excel and Word)Previous experience with dental software (Eagle Soft, Dentrix, QSI, or similar)Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and relationship skillsAbility to maintain outgoing, friendly attitude with patients and coworkersAbility to work in a fast paced environment and able to multitaskAbility to work with minimal supervisionPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

The essential functions of this position will result in the following: hazardous exposure (chemical and infections)—constantly; non ionizing radiation (welding flash, microwaves, sun, etc. )—frequently; radiation (x-ray, radioactive, isotopes, etc. )—constantly; noise (loud/repetitive, 85 decibels per OSHA standard)—constantly; and personal protective equipment (PPE: respiratory masks, latex gloves, face shields, etc. )—constantly.
