Essential FunctionsMeet productivity standards as outlined. Trend claim denials, advises supervisor of trends in order to improve processes with the department. Work identified trends as a project by following the given direction. Handle inquiries from patients/customers as needed after identification has been verified. Process data in accordance with company policies and confidentiality standards. Identify and correct errors in data entry. Assist co-workers as needed/requested. Communicate discrepancies or system issues to supervisor. Maintain a positive rapport with all customers.

Appropriately handles telephone and email communications. Support the Medical Center’s Mission/Vision/Philosophy positively. Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Perform other essential duties as assigned. RequirementsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate with various insurance payers. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic. Physical/Mental RequirementsMust be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard. Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines.

Frequently stands, walks, sits and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition. Occasionally reaches above shoulder, regularly required to life and/or carry up to 40 lbs. Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces. Ability to travel 1% of the time, including flying and driving rental cars. To accommodate travel, must be able to transport own suitcases and portable computer estimated at 25 pounds.
