About The RoleWhen you are exporting dairy products around the world, when products are being relied on for their nutritional value and their sheer quality, 'good' simply does not cut it. Whether we're talking about the performance of our people or the products we create at Westland Milk Products, quality is everything. We are looking for a full-time Compliance Officer to join us on a fixed-term basis (until 15 October 2026) to cover parental leave. Reporting to the Compliance Team Leader, this role can be based in either Rolleston (Christchurch) or Hokitika.
With a strong focus on customer support, the role will contribute to continuous quality improvement at an operational level, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and WMP quality standards. Responsibilities IncludeThe development, implementation and review of quality procedures and processes and identifying continuous improvement opportunities across the quality department. Execute the implementation of specific customer, regulatory and Overseas Market Access Requirements. Maintain effective and efficient processes to record, track and manage document changes. Coordinate the approval process of all Quality documentation changes. Maintenance of TACCP and VACCP programmes.

Being able to understand and interpret technical and official documents is also required, but most important to us, is the person behind the qualifications. You will be a dedicated team-player and have well developed interpersonal skills and a customer focused approach along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A desire to resolve issues and help drive continuous improvement is also essential, together with a passion to contribute to the success of the wider Quality Team.
