The preferred candidate has experience in both Payroll, preferably for cross-border employees, but equally important, accounting.
We are looking for a team player that can assist in ensuring that we have control over what we pay to our seafarers, but also how this is compliantly reflected in the books. If you can see yourself meeting these requirements, we would love for you to apply for the role of Payroll Specialist. A few of your responsibilities in this role:
Take part in the monthly computing and reporting of payroll for seafarers Tax and governmental reporting for Norwegian and non-Norwegian personnel Booking of costs in SAP and reconciliation of payroll accounts Detailed follow-up of taxes payable; ensure correct and timely payments, as well as reconciling these towards both payroll and accounting systems Extensive collaboration with team members from our global offices  Some of the qualifications required for the role: Higher education within economics/accounting/business law 2 to 5 years of experience from payroll or controlling.
Interest in both is expected Experience with account reconciliations; understand the A-Z consequences from payroll computing to booking of cost breakdowns and the subsequent effect on the corporate financials Experience and knowledge of Norwegian and international tax law, hereunder rules for tax liability, social security and pension schemes Fluent in both Norwegian and English High level of systematic approach and punctuality in your self-driven work, motivated by internal and external compliance requirements and deadlines Strong understanding of data systems, and willingness to be a proactive part in our upcoming transition to a new platform  About the location:
The position will be at Wilhelmsen headquarters at Lysaker in Norway.
