Wilkie + Bruce Architects are looking for an enthusiastic and technically proficient Architect or Architectural Technician with strong documentation skills and knowledge of construction. We have a diverse workload including projects in the education, cultural, health and residential sectors. The role involves assisting in the delivery of presentation and construction documentation and would suit an experienced Architect or Architectural Technician with all round design talent and technical expertise.
The successful applicant will be comfortable putting together detailed design packages, including specifications and construction details, coordinating inputs from structural and service engineers, managing the project through building consent, responding to construction queries, and assisting with construction observation. This is an office based, full time role but flexible working arrangements are available. We use Archicad on Macs. Here’s what you’ll needArchitecture, Architectural Technology or equivalent degree qualification.
Minimum of 5 years post graduation professional experience as as Architect or TechnicianExcellent Archicad skillsan understanding of BCA requirements & district planExperience with other software such as Photoshop, Word & rendering packages is an advantageExamples of work across a wide range of building types showing construction knowledge & integration of structural, services and other building disciplinesGood spoken and written communication skills. Some experience with BIM & common data environments would be an advantage, including but not limited to importing/ exporting IFCs, clash detection, writing BIM execution plans. Good self management and flexibility to suit working on a range of project types and scales simultaneously.
