Chief People Officer

We are partnering with a leading industrial transport and logistics company undergoing a significant growth and transformation phase. With operations spanning across Australia and a workforce at the heart of its success, the business is seeking an experienced Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead its people strategy, culture, and workforce planning at a national scale. As part of the executive leadership team, the CPO will be instrumental in shaping a high-performance, values-driven culture that aligns with the operational demands of a dynamic, safety-critical, and asset-intensive environment.

This role will oversee the full employee lifecycle - talent acquisition, leadership development, workforce capability, performance, industrial relations, and organisational design - while driving workforce engagement across both blue and white-collar populations. The ideal candidate will bring a pragmatic and commercial HR leadership style, with experience gained in large companies from the broader industrial sector. You will have a strong track record in leading through change, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a people-first culture in a highly operational setting. Expertise in enterprise agreements and working closely with unionised environments will be highly regarded.
