About The RoleAt Wio Bank, we’re reimagining what banking looks like in a digital world—and payments are at the heart of that transformation. We are looking for a Senior Payments Operations Specialist who brings precision, expertise, and a passion for operational excellence to our growing team. In this role, you’ll be a key player in ensuring the seamless flow of funds across international and domestic rails. Your deep knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards (including MT, ISO 20022, pacs, and camt) and end-to-end bank payment operations will help drive robust processes, reduce friction, and elevate customer experiences.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve complex payment issues—while also identifying opportunities to streamline operations and implement scalable, tech-forward solutions. This is a hands-on role with strategic impact, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and authorize foreign currency transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely execution. Lead investigations into payment discrepancies, delays, and rejections, working closely with correspondent banks, partner institutions, and internal teams to resolve issues swiftly.

Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) with customers and third parties to clarify or resolve payment-related concerns and ensure smooth transaction flows. Deliver exceptional customer support, handling complex payment cases with a customer-first mindset and ensuring issues are resolved professionally and within expected timelines. Partner with Product and Technology teams to identify pain points and contribute to the design and rollout of enhanced payment workflows, automation, and system features. Support internal teams in resolving customer issues related to international or domestic transactions.

Participate and perform in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new products and system enhancements, validating functionality and identifying operational impacts or opportunities for improvement. Ensure end-to-end compliance with applicable regulatory standards, internal risk controls, and audit requirements across all payment operations activities. What We’re Looking For10+ years of hands-on experience in payment operations, with a strong focus on international transaction processing, investigations, and dispute resolution. Deep expertise in SWIFT messaging standards, including MT and ISO 20022 formats (pacs, camt), with a solid grasp of cross-border payment flows and settlement processes.

Proven track record in performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting system implementation initiativesAnalytical and solutions-driven mindset, with the ability to break down complex issues and navigate ambiguity with confidence and clarity. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to translate technical payment details into clear, accessible language for various stakeholders. A true team player who thrives in a collaborative, high-growth environment and can adapt quickly to change. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
