About The RoleNew America is seeking a strategic and technically proficient Digital Marketing Manager to join its Central Communications team. Reporting directly to the Digital Director, this role focuses on leveraging digital analytics and strategic insights to expand the organization’s reach and deepen its impact across various digital channels. A primary responsibility will be managing and optimizing email newsletters and campaigns, ensuring they are data-driven, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of experience in digital communications or marketing, demonstrating expertise in email marketing, audience engagement, and digital analytics.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including communications staff and program leaders, to develop insights that inform strategic decisions. The Digital Marketing Manager will play a vital role in translating data into compelling narratives, enhancing digital engagement, and supporting organizational growth through innovative digital strategies. Creativity, collaboration, and a passion for using data to engage diverse audiences are essential qualities for success in this position.

QualificationsMinimum of five years of experience in digital communications or a related fieldProven experience managing email campaigns and subscriber databases using Mailchimp or similar platformsStrong analytical skills with experience analyzing engagement metrics and interpreting dataFamiliarity with audience segmentation, user journey mapping, and research toolsExperience with digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4) to derive strategic insightsExcellent written communication, editing, and collaboration skillsExceptional organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects under tight deadlinesSelf-motivated with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to mission-driven workKnowledge of HTML and accessibility best practices for email design is a plusExperience in policy communications or within a think tank environment is advantageousResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of a comprehensive analytics strategy across email, web, and social media channels to monitor performance, engagement, and growth opportunitiesAnalyze key metrics and user behaviors using tools like Google Analytics 4, Mailchimp, and native social analytics to identify trends and inform strategic decisionsCreate and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights for internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholdersCollaborate with communications and design teams to translate data into compelling visualizations and narratives for reports and presentationsConduct audience segmentation analysis and user journey mapping to optimize outreach strategies and enhance personalization effortsDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational objectivesStay current with analytics trends, tools, and best practices, continuously refining tracking methodologies and driving innovationLead analytics training sessions to improve staff data literacy and organizational understanding of digital metricsOversee email marketing campaigns by managing send-time optimization, segmentation, and content strategy based on data insightsMaintain and grow the subscriber database, leveraging Mailchimp’s automation and audience management featuresProvide guidance on email accessibility, branding, and organizational voice to ensure consistent and effective communicationSupport project management efforts within the communications team, including evaluating digital tools and infrastructure enhancementsAssist in internal process improvements to foster an equitable, efficient, and effective communications environmentBenefitsCompetitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverageGenerous retirement plan optionsPaid time off and federal holiday observancesOffice-wide closure during the holiday season between Christmas and New Year’s DayFlexible hybrid work schedule, with up to two remote days per week; fully remote candidates within the U.
