About The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Business Data Analyst to join our Professional Services department on a full-time basis. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to support our Financial Services clients by leading data analysis, profiling, mapping, and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large datasets, data warehousing, and cloud-based data solutions, particularly within the financial sector.

You will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to develop data models, create SQL views, and write Python scripts to support business intelligence and analytics efforts. Your expertise will help drive data-centric solutions, improve data quality, and facilitate the integration of complex data sources, ultimately enabling our clients to make informed decisions and optimize their operations.

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 2-5 years of relevant experienceProficiency in SAS, SQL (including complex queries, stored procedures, CTEs), and PythonUnderstanding of Azure cloud platform and experience with cloud data warehousesDomain expertise in Financial Services, particularly working with Banks or Credit Unions focusing on Credit Card portfolios and Retail Card Services on TSYSExperience working with multiple databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Databricks, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.

Knowledge of Agile software development methodologiesExperience with Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, and data management projectsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentExperience with data profiling, data quality assessments, and developing data quality rulesFamiliarity with tools like Collibra (preferred)Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectivelyResponsibilitiesServe as a subject matter expert in Financial Services data analytics, providing guidance and support to clients and internal teamsPerform advanced data analysis, profiling, and mapping to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasetsDevelop and optimize SQL views, stored procedures, and complex queries to support business intelligence initiativesWrite and maintain Python scripts for data processing, automation, and analytics tasksSupport the design and implementation of cloud-based data warehouses and data collection systems on platforms such as AzureCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather and interpret data requirements, translating them into technical solutionsDevelop source-to-target data mappings and data dictionaries, ensuring data lineage and quality are maintainedConduct data cleansing, quality assessments, and develop rules to improve data integrityIdentify opportunities for process improvements and automation within data workflowsDocument processes, workflows, and technical specifications to ensure clarity and knowledge sharingManage client interactions, providing regular updates and insights on project progress and findingsSupport the development of data roadmaps and information management strategies aligned with client needsParticipate in testing, validation, and sign-off of data solutions to ensure accuracy and completenessProactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project deliveryBenefitsFlexible work-from-home policyOpen-concept office environment in Portland, ME, with a casual dress codeTraining and certification reimbursement programsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plansDisability and life insurance coverage401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributionsGenerous paid time off and eleven paid holidays annuallyMilestone awards, including annual PTO increases and a four-day workweek after three years of serviceEqual OpportunityArkatechture is an equal opportunity employer.
