Job PurposeTo create, adapt, and manage high-quality written content in Shona, Ndebele, and English that promotes the company's brand, strengthens public relations, and supports business growth. The PR Writer will ensure messaging is culturally relevant, clear, and consistent across all communication platforms, including press releases, advertising, digital channels, and customer communications. Key Responsibilities1. Content Creation & AdaptationWrite, edit, and proofread press releases, news articles, marketing materials, speeches, and corporate reports in Shona, Ndebele, and English. Translate and localise content to ensure cultural accuracy and audience engagement. •Develop storytelling content that promotes brand loyalty and highlights customer success stories. 2.
Media & Public Relations Support•Draft official statements, media alerts, and responses to public enquiries Assist in preparing talking points for interviews and public appearances. •Maintain strong relationships with journalists and media houses to secure coverage. 3. Digital & Social Media Content-Create and adapt engaging social media posts, website content, and email newsletters in all three languages-Ensure brand voice consistency across digital channels4. Brand & Campaign Support-Work closely with the marketing team to produce copy for advertising campaigns, brochures, and billboards-Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all content5. Internal CommunicationsPrepare staff memos, newsletters, and announcements in Shona, Ndebele, and English.
Support HR and management in delivering internal campaigns effectivelySkills & Qualifications•Degree/Diploma in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. •Minimum 3 years experience in PR, corporate communications, or content writing. -Proven fluency and professional writing skills in Shona, Ndebele, and English. •Experience in the financial services sector, especially money transfer or banking. is an added advantage. Key Competencies•Excellent grammar, spelling, and style in all three languages. •Strong translation and localisation skills. •Ability to write for different audiences and platforms. •Media relations and press release writing expertise. •Creativity and cultural sensitivity.
