As we continue to expand across the UK, we are looking for a strategic, results-driven Head of Events to help scale our impact and reach.

About the RoleAs Head of Events, you will be responsible for shaping our UK-wide events strategy and overseeing the planning, execution and success of both in-person and virtual events. From networking breakfasts and panel discussions to large-scale summits and community workshops, you’ll lead the way in curating experiences that drive connection, learning, and visibility for women in tech. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creating purposeful events, strong organisational skills, and a desire to lead with impact.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & PlanningDevelop and lead a UK-wide events strategy aligned with our mission and growth goalsMaintain and manage a central calendar of events, ensuring a mix of national and local activityCollaborate with team leads to support regional and thematic eventsProgramme DevelopmentCurate event formats, themes and speaker line-ups to reflect our values and community needsSource and secure speakers, facilitators, and industry expertsEnsure all events are inclusive, accessible, and mission-drivenPartnerships & VisibilityCollaborate with the partnerships team to deliver co-branded and sponsored eventsRepresent Women in Tech UK at external events and opportunitiesBuild relationships with venues, industry contacts, and collaboratorsWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience leading events (in-person and virtual)Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skillsStrategic thinker with a hands-on approachPassionate about creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spacesComfortable using tools like Eventbrite, Trello, Google Workspace, and virtual platformsCollaborative mindset with an eye for detail and a calm approach under pressureWIT UK is a volunteer role.

Average commitment is 4-6hrs / week. As the Head of Events, you will also be expected to attend the majority of London-based events to participate and organise set-up and execution alongside other members of the WiT team.
