Women's and Children's Health Network, Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Southern Country, Mount Gambier 5290SalaryClassification - RN/M2C - Clinical Nurse/Midwife LV2 - $87,416. 00 to $110,497. 00 + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice BenefitsFull time - Ongoing Permanent About The OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Mental Health Clinical Nurse, where you will be responsible for: Provide assessment, education, counselling, and group work to support children, adolescents, and their families with mental health needs. Ensure clinical practice aligns with policy, maintaining accountability for own standards and delegated activities.
Collaborate with other professional disciplines and non-government organisations to achieve optimal consumer health and recovery. Offer direction, support, orientation, and education to staff, fostering a skilled and informed team. Lead and participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development within the service. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have: Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines. Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve positive outcomes. Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision Experience. Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience. Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
