#Wood #Iraq #Basra #EngineeringThe roleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our Iraq Business Unit. Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. Transforming the world. This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production. The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including:

Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24”, ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities. Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing hands-on commissioning activities.

Job ObjectivesReport to the Commissioning Manager and provide support to the contractor. Witness static and dynamic testing of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Lead commissioning of mechanical systems, drainage, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards. Review contractor submissions for compliance with specifications and safety requirements. Identify and mitigate risks in mechanical systems. Provide innovative solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency. Interact with contractors to interpret designs and specifications. Conduct site surveys and prepare reports on project status and compliance. Create punch lists and determine corrective measures for on-site issues.

Familiarize with local codes, regulations, and safety requirements. Participate in risk assessments to ensure safe operations. Review and initiate important test and operating procedures. Provide guidance to on-site mechanical teams. Oversee installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure operational efficiency. Manage project timelines and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (including electrical, structural, and instrumentation engineers) to deliver integrated solutions. QualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?
