Our mission is to inform, inspire, and connect audiences through engaging TV programs, news, and digital content that promote sustainable housing and development solutions.Position OverviewWe are seeking a creative and technically skilled WordPress Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain our company’s digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress development, UI/UX design, and performance optimization, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging, user-friendly websites that reflect our brand’s identity.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress websites for Housing TV Africa.Customize WordPress themes and plugins to align with branding and functionality needs.Collaborate with the content, design, and marketing teams to update website content and improve user experience.Implement SEO best practices to improve site visibility and search rankings.Optimize website performance, loading speed, and mobile responsiveness.Ensure website security, perform regular updates, backups, and troubleshoot technical issues.Integrate multimedia content such as video streams, galleries, and social media feeds.Monitor website analytics and generate performance reports.Stay up to date with WordPress trends, plugins, and web technologies.Qualifications & SkillsProven experience as a WordPress Developer (minimum 2–3 years).Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc.).Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.Familiarity with SEO tools, Google Analytics, and web performance optimization.Ability to manage hosting environments, including database administration and backups.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with media or broadcasting companies.Understanding of video integration and content delivery networks (CDNs).Graphic design skills (Adobe Photoshop, Figma, or Canva).Knowledge of WordPress REST API and custom post types.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work with an innovative media team.Professional growth in digital media and web technology.Dynamic, creative, and inclusive work environment.How to Apply Interested candidates can send their CVs to employmenthousingtv@gmail.com
