🥕 WordPress / WooCommerce Developer (Contract)Project: A science-backed, heartwarming e-commerce concept combining plush toys with psychologist-approved motivational content.Your MissionWe are looking for a WordPress / WooCommerce Developer who can help bring our vision to life — someone who’s equally comfortable with PHP hooks as with color palettes and typography.You’ll be responsible for setting up and customizing a WordPress + WooCommerce installation to match our creative and functional goals. This is not a purely technical build — we’re looking for someone who can translate design intent into a polished, high-end user experience.Scope of Work1. System Setup & Core FeaturesConfigure a complete WordPress + WooCommerce setupImplement key pages and features:Homepage & general content pagesProduct catalog and product detail pagesShopping cart and checkout flowGated content area for psychologist-approved note downloads (accessible via product purchase or registration)2. Template Selection & CustomizationWork closely with our designer to identify a WordPress theme/template that aligns with our visual direction and functional needsCustomize layouts, components, and styling to align with design specificationsEnsure consistency in typography, colors, and visual hierarchy3. Creative ImplementationTranslate design mockups and creative direction into responsive, pixel-perfect executionOffer thoughtful input on how to best achieve visual goals within technical constraintsMaintain a high standard of aesthetic and functional qualityWho We’re Looking ForStrong experience with WordPress and WooCommerce developmentDemonstrated ability to customize templates and themes beyond default optionsUnderstanding of frontend aesthetics (CSS, layout, UX flow, typography)Experience with gated or members-only content areas (plugins or custom implementation)Ability to follow creative direction and collaborate with a designerNice to HaveExperience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) or similar customization frameworksFamiliarity with page builders (e.g. Elementor, Oxygen, Bricks) for flexible design tweaksPrevious work on e-commerce sites with both physical and digital contentBasic familiarity with Figma or design handoff toolsContract DetailsDuration: 4–6 weeks - part timeType: Freelance / ContractStart: ImmediatelyLocation: Remote (must be responsive during EST working hours)How to ApplyPlease include:A brief note on your experience with WooCommerce and theme customizationLinks to 2–3 live sites you’ve developed that reflect your technical and design sensibilityYour availability and hourly or project rate
