Tools for Humanity is looking for a hands-on Working Student to assist in developing, testing, and validating our flagship hardware devices, including the Orb. This role will work closely Device team to support the creation and production of cutting-edge technologies at scale.Core Responsibilities:Assist in the development, design, and implementation of components.Support the creation of models and designs using CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360).Assist in the research and development of new feature validation and hardware changes.Help with the qualification, verification, and validation of developed hardware.Creating prototypes, test setups and jigs & fixture applications using 3D printers and other tools.Support in the preparation, commissioning and repair of test devices.Support in the creation of documentation and specifications.About You:Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a similar qualification.Advanced experience in planning, development, and designing of components with CAD, ideally SolidWorks.Familiarity with preparation and postprocessing of prototyping tools such as 3D Printers.Basic experience in assembling and repairing technical devices.Basic knowledge of programming and/or electrical engineering is a plus.Good English proficiency in both spoken and written form.Strong drive, proactive attitude, and solid work ethic.We also offer Thesis and Research Internship topics for your Bachelor's or Master's thesis.
