We are locally owned by Mirarr traditional owners.JPS is committed to the vision of repurposing Jabiru from a mining town to an Indigenous-led tourism and government service centre for Kakadu National Park and the West Arnhem region.JPS has a commitment with our business model delivering within the guidelines of the Jabiru Masterplan.The Jabiru Masterplan reflects the Traditional Owners’ vision of:"A world-leading ecologically sustainable, economically and socially vibrant community where traditional Aboriginal culture, all people and the natural environment flourish."Due to continued growth, JPS is seeking a capable and motivated Works Supervisor to join our team in Jabiru.About the RoleThe Works Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery, coordination, and quality assurance of maintenance, refurbishment, and capital works programs across JPS-managed residential properties.This role combines contractor management, project coordination, and hands-on supervision to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.The position is responsible for overseeing reactive and planned maintenance, refurbishment programs, and improvement works across approximately 170 properties, as well as managing rectification works on 15 dwellings and coordinating the installation of outdoor living infrastructure across the portfolio.This role reports to JPS management and works closely with contractors, tenants, and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks and Project DeliveryPlan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance and refurbishment works programsPrepare scopes of work, specifications, and work packagesCoordinate contractors, materials, and schedulesSupervise contractors and ensure quality workmanshipInspect completed works and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and regulationsConduct asset condition assessments and defect inspectionsManage installation and improvement works across residential propertiesContractor and Contract ManagementAssist with procurement processes including tender evaluationAdminister and supervise contractor performanceEnsure works are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetOperational and Site ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on support for urgent maintenance and emergency works when required, including some after-hours call outsCoordinate tenant relocations and property access to facilitate worksManage furniture relocations associated with property upgradesMaintain accurate records, reports, and work documentationCompliance, Safety, and QualityEnsure compliance with Work Health and Safety requirementsMonitor site safety and contractor complianceMaintain quality assurance processes across all worksContribute to continuous improvement of JPS procedures and systemsSelection CriteriaEssentialDemonstrated experience in construction, maintenance, or works supervisionExperience coordinating contractors and managing works programsSound knowledge of building codes, legislation, and Australian StandardsStrong organisational and project coordination skillsAbility to work independently and within a small team environmentStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to prepare reports and maintain accurate documentationCurrent White CardCurrent NT Driver’s LicenceAbility to obtain a National Police ClearanceDesirableTrade qualification in a relevant fieldExperience as a Site Supervisor or Works SupervisorExperience in residential maintenance or refurbishment programsExperience working in regional or remote environmentsContract administration or procurement experienceEmployment Conditions and BenefitsFull-time, fixed-term position Competitive salary based on skills and experienceHeavily subsidised housing providedCompany vehicle for work useMobile phone and laptop providedFlexible working arrangements availableThis is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the transformation and future of Jabiru while working in one of Australia’s most iconic locations.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role to:Rob@jabirupropertyservices.com.au
