Company Description The IBM Z Society at the University of Manchester is a student-led community focused on IBM Z technologies, enterprise computing, and hybrid cloud innovation. Our mission is to connect students with industry through hands-on learning, professional development, and networking opportunities with IBM experts. We organize various events, including workshops, guest talks, and technical challenges, to help members gain real-world skills in mainframe systems, AI, and cloud computing. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester for a Workshop Coordinator. The Workshop Coordinator will manage the planning and execution of workshops and events, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for all participants. Responsibilities include organizing schedules, liaising with guest speakers, facilitating training sessions, and supporting event logistics. Additionally, the role involves engaging with participants, providing exceptional service, and contributing to the society’s overall mission. Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skillsExperience in planning and coordinating Workshops and Training sessionsProject Management skills for organizing events and multitasking effectivelyAbility to work collaboratively and independently with attention to detailComfort with technology; familiarity with enterprise or computing systems is a plus
