Workshop Manager

About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AFRIKAANS and ENGLISH-speaking Automotive Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client’s busy workshop in Middelburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining safety standards, and driving operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Include:Lead and manage workshop staff, including technicians and support personnel.Oversee daily operations to ensure timely and efficient vehicle servicing and repairs.Monitor workflow, allocate tasks, and ensure optimal resource utilization.Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Manage inventory, tools, and equipment to ensure availability and functionality.Implement and maintain quality control procedures.Prepare and manage budgets, monitor costs, and drive profitability.Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.Provide technical support and guidance to workshop staff. Requirements Include:Proven experience in automotive workshop management (minimum 5 years).Relevant technical qualification (e.g., Automotive Engineering, Trade Test Certificate).Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.Proficiency in workshop management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Valid driver’s license.Grade 12 or similar qualifications Preferred Attributes:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.Customer-focused mindset.
