The Training Specialist develops content that creates a dynamic and engaging learning experience that supports the needs of the business. This position works with subject matter experts to understand needs and identify appropriate training method options. The Training Specialist will support the creation of classroom and blended curricula in a high-volume training department. This position will report to the Training Supervisor. ResponsibilitiesFacilitates curriculum to employees at various levels in both classroom and online settings using various forms of media.
Provides training to new employees on systems, policies, and procedures of the department or retrains existing employees on new information or procedures to ensure they remain successful. Facilitates learning programs, meetings, and events to transfer knowledge and prepare leaders within the organization. Designs and develops learning content that includes the use of media and technology to enhance participant experience and transfer of knowledge and skills. Maintains instructor-led course materials. Ensures materials are properly stored and versioned on appropriate communities. Ability to maintain and build strong relationships with the leadership to supply feedback and direction.
Performs administrative duties on the Learning Management System, including, but not limited to: scheduling and tracking of instructor-led training, creating materials and videos, managing users, assigning training, reporting, and testing new content.
,A minimum of 1 year of experience working with the development and implementation of learning and performance support in a corporate environment is preferredA minimum of 1 year of experience in facilitation and classroom management preferredUnderstanding of adult learning theories and how to applyStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work in a fast pace environment with frequent changesSelf-starter, able to effectively prioritize activities with little directionEmbraces change, has passion and strong work ethic and a can-do attitude, can foster teamwork, and displays honesty and integrity in all situationsMust possess a motivating personality by being the face of WWT to new and existing employeesHigh proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially PowerPointEqual opportunities:
