Our peer support coaches are 1099-contractors with flexible hours and have lived-experience enabling them to be an empathetic patient resource and advocate, ultimately contributing significantly to the positive clinical health outcomes of our members.What will you do as Peer Coach within our Peer Support team?Conduct peer support coaching calls with Better Health members, offering guidance and understanding through your shared lived experience. Provide education on foundational wound care topics, including:Reinforcing doctor-prescribed wound care routinesExplaining how and when to seek clinical supportTeaching wound healing optimization strategies, such as how nutrition, hydration, and lifestyle factors influence the healing processMake outbound calls using an autodialer to reach qualifying members and share that they are eligible for personalized peer support from a professional who has navigated the same condition—creating space for genuine conversation, shared frustrations, and personal growth. This role combines compassion with practical knowledge—helping members feel seen, supported, and motivated on their journey to better health.Construct personalized follow up emails and educational tools for membersSounds exciting? We're looking for YOU, if you:Have first hand, personal experience with chronic or recurring wounds conditionsAre interested in flexible session-based 1099-contracting workExcellent interpersonal skills and comfort talking on the phoneExcellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently within established proceduresBecome an expert in Better Health’s product catalog for personalized product suggestionsComfortable with technology (we are a start-up, and use a variety of technology apps including Google Suite, SLACK, and our our software portal)Comfortable making outbound callsMust be able to pass a background checkMust be willing to complete HIPAA certification before startingBonus points if:Knowledge of medical terminology, common products, and evidence-based condition-specific best practices preferredSecondary degree (Associates, Bachelors, etc) or at least 3 years professional experience, professional certification required if applicableBetter Health is committed to being an employer that provides not just a good place to work, but a great and inclusive place to work.
