We have something to suit everybody regardless of experience level or vessel preference.Our sailing schools give our customers the opportunity to take a qualification home with them, from RYA Start Yachting to RYA Day Skipper. Our phenomenal instructors provide a quality experience individually tailored to each student’s requirements and learning style.Our Yachtmaster Instructors are based in Greece and Croatia and positions usually run from April to October. The sailing school team usually consists of a Yachtmaster Instructor and 2-4 Cruising Instructors. Following successful summer placements; winter opportunities may be available.Working hours vary and you MUST be able to cover operational requirements. It is important to be flexible within your job role and understand that you may be required to move between different resorts or departments according to operational needs.What You Will Be DoingManaging all operational aspects of the sailing school, including delivery of the RYA syllabus, day to day management of the team, driving revenue and ensuring yachts are set up to Sunsail and RYA standardsDeliver RYA courses aligning with RYA regulations and company standardsCoordinate paperwork and instructors for all coursesDrive revenue and promote courses available within resortMaintain the standards of training delivered on shore-based coursesTo supervise customer feedback of RYA training and investigate comments where vitalLiaise with the RYA and other governing bodies to ensure that the syllabus delivered is up to dateEnsure yachts are clean and set up per the company standards and RYA requirementsTo ensure that any changes in the SOPs are communicated to instructorsTo provide support and mentorship to instructors, and provide ongoing training as vitalTo develop course material to support existing and future course requirementsEnsure before the yachts set sail accurate paperwork has been completed as per the company and local law requirementsEnsure company policies and procedures are kept to whilst instructors are at seaLead and empower the instructorsProvide excellent customer service at all timesCarry out other duties within your ability as requested by your line managerWhat We Are Looking ForRYA Yachtmaster Instructor commercially endorsedExperience managing a teamKnowledge of health and safety legislationKnowledge of the RYA sailing school syllabus and standardsAbility to work as a reliable member of the teamHighly motivated individualGood interpersonal skillsHighly customer orientatedFirst aid certificateOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and InclusionWe believe people perform best when they can be their true selves, and diverse teams drive better results.
