Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?The key purpose of this role is to manage the operational and technical aspects of yeast propagation and yeast management within the brewery cellars department ensuring compliance to the SAB Ltd and global brewing standards.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Manage the full end to end process of yeast propagation in alignment with business requirementsManage yeast storage and handling, and coach others to the requirements thereofManage wort , yeast, water and fermentation process and microbiologyConduct problem solving in everyday activities and identify sustainable and creative solutions where requiredDemonstrate relevant knowledge of the brewing process and vertical supply chainProvide yeast subject matter expertise in Cellars and build capability as the SME across the brewing fraternityLead and champion yeast and prop room CIP and hygieneManage and drive technical projectsLeverage VPO, Physchem , BCI, Micro index and QMS to ensure effectiveness in deliveryKey Attributes and Competencies:Sound understanding and knowledge of the Business Planning ProcessesMust be a competent tasterMeticulous and high attention to detailAbility to lead change management initiativesAbility to work with a wide variety of teams across the value chainStrong problem solving skills and the ability to drive solutions to implementationProven knowledge and experience in integrating and facilitating a multi disciplinary group of skills, specialists and functionsGood verbal and written communication skillsGood relationship skills to deal with external/internal customersMinimum Requirements:A BSc in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent B.Tech degreeMust have completed SAB Ltd Brewing traineeshipMust have an in depth understanding and knowledge of Standard Work Practices (SWP) and VPO Problem solving methodologies and Quality Management Systems (QMS)Must know and understand the different production planning processes across the value chainGood understanding of the NOSA StandardsGood understanding of financial processes within the SAB contextGreenbelt Certification would be advantageousAdditional Information:Band: VIISAB/ABInBev is an equal opportunity employer, and all appointments will be made in line with SAB/ABInBev employment equity plan and talent requirements.
