Job Description

Job Purpose: The Technology Delivery Manager is responsible for managing the bank’s technology build and release management planning. Key Responsibilities:

Program ManagementCoordinating the scheduling, resourcing, risk, dependency and resourcing input from the various program delivery leads (both internal and external) to prepare and monitor the technology delivery program plan Working with internal technology delivery leads to prepare steering committee packs and other governance material in support of program managementProactively identifying and seeking mitigations strategies and/or resolutions to risks and issues threatening the delivery of technology projectsDefining and managing the program’s governance arrangementsManaging communications with all stakeholders Provision of Technology delivery program reporting, including overall resourcing, budgets, quality and schedulesSelection and use of tools as required to facilitate the above responsibilitiesRelease ManagementPlanning and managing the bank’s release cycles, including end-to-end management of the scope, interdependencies and scheduling of releases Governing and maintaining detailed records of end-to-end release information on the versions of applications in the various development, test and production environments, with a particular emphasis on controlling the end-to-end interoperability and consistency of release trainsWorking with key stakeholders to make governance decisions on changes to the scope of releasesKey Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

At least 8 years’ experience in the Technology program delivery, in a banking, insurance, e-commerce or payments-related businessGood working knowledge of key banking-related systems and functions, particularly around channels and integration platformsStrong understanding of release management governance, plus associated tools and methodologies (such as Scaled Agile Framework)Good understanding of environments management in support of testingDemonstrated ability to manage project service delivery from vendorsBroad awareness of current Fintech and digital banking technology trendsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence all levels of staff Well established technical, management and organizational skills A learning mindset, with an interest in continuous improvement
