Job Description

Location: Ivato, MadagascarOverall Purpose of the RoleThe Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating Zebu Air’s aviation operations. This role requires both operational oversight and project management expertise to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The successful candidate will manage daily flight activities while also leading projects to completion on time, within budget, and according to scope. Key ResponsibilitiesFlight Operations: Manage dispatch and execution of flights, prepare and follow up flight plans and authorizations, establish flight documentation (navigation logs, weight & balance, NOTAMs, meteorology), and verify all on-board records. Crew Management:

Plan and monitor crew scheduling, flight time, duty time, vacations, travel logistics, and crew changes. Ground Operations: Develop, implement, and update methods, procedures, work tools, and operational manuals (A, B, C, and D). Client & Stakeholder Relations: Prepare flight estimates and quotations, meet clients to gather requirements, and maintain strong relationships with customers, regulators, and partners. Project Management: Coordinate internal and external resources, define scope and objectives, delegate responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget. Compliance & Reporting:

Enforce adherence to aviation standards, best practices, and regulations; conduct audits; and prepare detailed status and compliance reports. Training & Development: Evaluate and deliver training programs, set educational standards, and mentor staff. Strategic Support: Assist in promotional strategies, product development, and operational expansion in Madagascar. Minimum Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership skills with the ability to take charge and provide direction. Dependable, reliable, and accountable in fulfilling obligations. Excellent teamwork and cooperative attitude. Adaptability and flexibility to manage varied and changing tasks. High integrity, honesty, and ethical standards. Proactive initiative and willingness to take on challenges.

Qualifications & ExperienceProven working experience in aviation management. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Solid organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aviation management software.
