What’s the Role?As a Communications Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in the design, integration, and assurance of secure and reliable communications solutions within Defence projects. Your work will span capability development, systems engineering, and technical advisory services, directly supporting Defence programs. From requirements analysis to validation and transition to sustainment, you’ll help shape capabilities that matter Who You AreYou’re a systems engineer with deep experience in Defence communications and secure networks. You bring a structured, methodical mindset to engineering problems and thrive in complex, high-stakes environments.
With experience working on Defence programs, you're comfortable engaging with Defence stakeholders, contributing to Integrated Project Teams, and navigating the One Defence Capability System. What You’ll BringEngineering Expertise: In Defence communications systems engineering, including requirements, design, integration, and assurance. Defence Know-How: Experience working within CASG or Defence capability programs, including understanding of acquisition and sustainment pathways is essential. Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, senior Defence stakeholders, and technical leads. Technical Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and develop practical solutions within complex systems. Qualifications: Degree-qualified in engineering or ICT disciplines, with relevant certifications (e. g.
, CPEng, RPEQ) viewed favourably. Security Clearance: AGSVA NV1 or above.
