Job Description

We are seeking an experienced forklift operator to assist with the day to day stock movement within our super kitchen at Awatoto.

You will work closely with the wider Warehouse, Logistics and Production teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the site, including the cold store with temperatures ranging from -5°c to -12 °c. This role works 40 hours per week across Monday to Friday with varied start times to a roster. You will take responsibility for receiving of inwards goods, product storage and dispatch of products from the loading docks. Experience using reach trucks is essential. Key responsibilities: correctly handling product and accurately locating into racks using on-board scanning and ABEL WMS system.

timely & accurate delivery of pallets to production staging area when requested via the ABEL WMS system. timely internal movements/transfers of pallets to maintain the cold store at optimum capacity. support a culture of continuous improvement within the workplacecomplete cycle-counts, inventory and compliance checklists to meet process controls. Key requirements:

minimum 2 years proven experience operating forklifts put-away and order-picking experience using on-board forklift scanning and WMS – meat products handling and products batching an advantageBasic understanding of cold-chain, food safety and hygiene requirementsA strong focus and commitment to Health & Safety at all timesA current forklift licence with F EndorsementExcellent time management and organisational skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracy with good written and arithmetic literacy.
