Senior IT ManagerContract to HireHybrid Oshawa, Ontario, CA About the Role This isn’t your typical IT Manager role. On behalf of our client, Buchahan Technologies (www. buchanan. com) is sourcing for a hands-on, proactive Senior IT Manager who is just as comfortable managing an IT ticket queue as coordinating card access or deploying security cameras. You’ll serve as the bridge between the client’s Managed Services Provider (MSP), internal users, and facilities-related technology needs—ensuring seamless day-to-day operations at both our corporate office and retail locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesIT Operations & User SupportOversee day-to-day IT operations including ticket escalations, triage, and SLA trackingManage IT onboarding and offboarding workflowsCoordinate with the MSP to ensure uptime, patching, and project executionMaintain the lifecycle of hardware assets (laptops, phones, printers, etc.

)Track software license compliance and renewalsDraft and enforce IT policies and standard operating proceduresFacilities-Related Technology OversightAdminister card access creation and revocation across all locationsSupport deployments of VOIP systems, cameras, and door access technologyCoordinate low-complexity office setups and moves (e. g. , desks, cable management)Manage shared inventory of peripherals, signage, and accessoriesLiaise with third-party vendors (e. g.

, electricians, security providers)Collaboration & CommunicationAlign IT support and delivery with business goals in partnership with senior leadershipProactively report incidents, risks, and improvement opportunitiesServe as an internal advocate for IT service quality and roadmap initiativesProvide occasional onsite support across locations (driver’s license and vehicle required)Qualifications5+ years in IT support or IT operations; MSP experience preferredStrong skills in endpoint management, access control, and asset trackingExposure to physical security systems (e. g.
