We're here for the progressives, the forward thinkers, the The Role We are seeking a commercially minded, operational and hands-on Head of People to lead part of our people function and shape a culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent in a multi-site flexible workspace business. You will be a key partner to the senior leaders in the business, driving our People strategy and fostering a high-performance culture to ensure we remain a great place to work.
This is a hands-on role with both strategic and operational responsibilities, suited to someone who thrives in a fast paced dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering robust and thoughtful people practices.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the overall people strategy aligned with the company's mission, vision, and business objectives Drive initiatives around company culture, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and organizational health Oversee compensation and benefits planning to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations Implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support organizational growth Lead, mentor the People Team.
Collaborate closely with Senior Leadership including our CEO and department heads to align people initiatives with business needs Use data and analytics to measure HR effectiveness and continuously improve people programs Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the people strategy which is aligned with the company's vision and business objectives.
Taking accountability for the key stages within the employee life cycle Work as a senior level business partner to all key stakeholders and leaders across Backstage and Operations - ensuring each department and area has the right people initiatives to support the business success, lead and support with organisational change and transformation initiatives where required Embed and drive initiatives around company culture, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and organisational health Ensure the smooth delivery of core HR/People Operations including policies, compliance, HRIS and Reward frameworks Oversee compensation and benefits planning to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity and work closely with the Finance Director to align on our People Budget and Operational Expenditure Support our company talent mapping and succession planning process with the relevant interventions, supporting and driving the action planning process where required.
Work closely with other members of the broader people function to ensure the subject matter experts are involved and providing the right data and insights to support as required, and to match the needs of our current and future talent pipeline Manage all UK employee relations, conflict resolution, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Ensure the business is up to date and educated on all the latest changes across the board as and when needed and upskill the organisation as required Implement existing and new HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support organisational growth Lead, coach and mentor the members within the People Team on all people led matters.
Collaborate closely with Senior Leaders, including our CEO, and the senior department heads to align people initiatives with business needs Use data and analytics where possible to measure HR effectiveness through our people and business metrics and continuously look to improve our people processes. Requirements Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in senior HR or People leadership roles, preferably in fast-paced or scaling multi-site organisations. within operational experience i. e. retail/hospitality. Experience of working in multi-site environments is preferable. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and legal regulations.
Experience with organisational design, team restructure, change management and collective consultations beneficial. Experience in designing and implementing employee development, performance management, and engagement strategies Experience with HR systems and leveraging data to inform decisions Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e. g. , SHRM-SCP, CIPD) is a plus CIPD qualified or equivalent is preferred BenefitsAt The Office Group, we know that work isn't just about working.
