We are a busy hotel where guests are looking for quick but nutritious mealsYou don’t need to be a chef but you do need to have a passion for food, be organised, and be able to work under pressureExperience of Merry chefs would be advantageous but not essential as training will be givenMain Tasks & responsibilitiesPrepare food using Merry chefsPresent food in line with brand standardsPreparation, set-up, service, clean up and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food Placing food orders and ensure food cost is in line with budgetsRestock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organize BOH areasCleanliness of the kitchen areaFull ownership of FIFO system (first in first out) of food items Follow all food safety policies to work safelyFood handling according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance and record keeping, storage procedures etc.
