Job Description

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will join the Material Management Department in SIA Engineering Division. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Daily Material Management Department (MMD) ops meeting with various MMD sections such as purchasing, repair, etcIdentify critical spares that will result in work stoppage and/AOG and to work with relevant sections in MMD to support the spare requirement from Line maintenance and Base maintenanceSupporting Daily Line Maintenance Production Input Meeting and Hangar check input meetingsTrack and review all spares requirements from all sources (eg:

Modification Action Form (MAF), Engineering Notes (EN), Airworthiness Directive Special Inspection (ADSI/SI), Carry Forwards (CFWD), Preload Bill of Material (BOMs), Pre-Service Mod (PSM), Hard/Soft-life, etc), reviewing past trends and future demands, to ensure timely availability of sparesTo inform purchasing team to cancel Purchasing Orders (PO) for requirements that are cancelledReview frequent robbed spares from aircraft in hangars.

Monitoring of frequent robbed itemsTo support spare requirements for outhouse aircraft checks by raising ITD and account for the material usageTo alert purchasing, repair and warranty in case of aircraft or component damage claim with Aircraft Ground Incident Report (AGIR), lost report, etcSupport Post Check material consumption and shortage review to plan for future demands and suggest amendments to BOM listsConsolidate and present the analysis of scheduled spare shortfallConsolidate and analyse historical check adhoc and unplanned spare consumption dataRequirementsA diploma in any disciplineAble to work on shift hoursMust be familiar with SAP e. g.

able to use SQ01, MB51, MMBEProficient in MS Office suite of products, especially Excel and PowerPoint e. g.

able to use pivot table to perform trending and analysis and to prepare power point materialThose with knowledge and relevant experience of Material Management’s operations, administration and procedures would be preferredBe able to engage with vendors and line engineers on the shop floor directlyGood verbal and written communication skillsMust be motivated, driven and be a team player and also be able to work independentlyMust be able to work under pressureWe thank all candidates for your interest in Singapore Airlines, and regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
