Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to perform a wide range of masonry duties, including laying bricks, blocks, and stones, repairing existing structures, and constructing walls, walkways, and other stone or concrete features. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices and be able to work efficiently with precision and attention to detail. Key ResponsibilitiesLay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other types of building materials. Mix and prepare mortar or grout manually or using machines. Construct and repair walls, floors, chimneys, and decorative stonework.
Cut and shape materials to fit specific measurements using tools such as trowels, hammers, and power saws. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to meet exact specifications. Ensure structures are level, plumb, and properly aligned. Maintain cleanliness and safety on the job site. Use proper lifting techniques and tools to handle heavy materials. Perform repair and restoration of damaged masonry surfaces. Collaborate with other construction professionals and follow supervisor instructions. Qualifications And SkillsProven experience as a Mason or similar role in the construction industry. Familiarity with brick, stone, and block laying techniques. Knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. PreferredVocational training or certification in masonry or construction. Experience with both residential and commercial masonry projects.
