Boasting a highly experienced team that actively manages a $3bn+ portfolio of industrial, office & healthcare assets throughout New Zealand. The RoleReporting to an impressive Financial Controller & as part of a high performing team, this role is responsible for the financial management & fund-level reporting for multi-asset and/or single asset property funds across New Zealand & Australia. This includes working closely with the asset management team to provide financial support.
Along with traditional accounting & reporting duties, the finance team is seen as a business partner and is involved in a wide range of initiatives working with the Group’s transactions, funds management, development, treasury, tax, and operations teams to deliver outcomes across acquisitions, divestments, and fund establishment.
Key responsibilities will include the following (but not limited to);Financial, management and board reportingBudgeting & forecasting roundsBusiness Partnering with investment teamsFeasibility for acquisitions & divestmentsLead financial input on Product Disclosure Statements for capital raisingTax & treasury oversight & ownershipMonitor cash flow & liquidity positionsStaff leadership, mentoring & coachingAd-hoc tasks as required by the businessTo be considered for this position you must be a fully qualified accountant with experience in Finance Manager/Controller type roles within a similar or transferable business or industry (property investment, development, funds management, leasing, financial services etc. ). You must be technically strong, as well as analytical & commercially savvy.
With the interpersonal skills to be an effective finance business partner as well as being able to coach, mentor and develop junior staff (previous staff management experience will be advantageous).
