Job Description

Reporting to the ICT Manager, the Information Technology Support Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality IT support services across CRRDA. The role includes diagnosing and resolving IT system issues, deploying IT infrastructure and hardware, and ensuring staff have the necessary tools to meet operational needs. This role is offered on a full time 2-year contract with the possibility of extension. It is a catalyst for wider rail transformation underway across the South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Cross River Rail is a new 10. 2km rail line including 5. 9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD, with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also tasked with multiple supporting projects and activities, including accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, upgrades for stabling yards, track works and surface rail enhancements, and the introduction of a new world-class digital train signalling system. About The RoleReporting to the ICT Manager, the Information Technology Support Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality IT support services across CRRDA. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide timely and effective IT support to staff using a variety of programs and technologiesInvestigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents to ensure high-quality service deliveryMonitor IT service queues and escalate as necessary to ensure responsive serviceAdvise and educate users to resolve recurring issues and promote IT literacyTrack and manage IT assets using inventory toolsBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external IT providersDevelop and maintain knowledge base articles for internal useContribute to IM&T projects and support the delivery of innovative IT solutionsAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:

Experience in IT support or system administrationKnowledge of ITSM principles (e. g. incident and request management)Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilitiesExcellent customer service and communication skillsUnderstanding of IT security practicesAvailability to work outside regular hours on occasionDesirable Technical KnowledgeMicrosoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, Mac OS, iOSFamiliarity with Azure Active Directory, ITSM tools (e. g. , Jira Service Management), and Windows PowerShellCertifications in Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL are a plusWhy work with CRRDA?On Cross River Rail you will not only work with the best but become your best.
