Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School (GFACS)Full-time, 12-Month Non-Exempt PositionReports to: School PrincipalJOB DUTIES: ReceptionServe as a central information point for staff, students and public by manning the main office/reception desk. Answer incoming calls, provide information, direct calls where necessary and take messagesGreet visitors, handle inquiries and direct visitors to the appropriate destinationReceipt and distribution of mail and packagesStudent Information ManagementAssist with the maintenance of filing systems for students information, both paper and electronicKeep accurate student attendance records through the school’s student information system (SIS)Work with administration and teachers to facilitate the student attendance entry process.
Manage daily parent notifications of student absencesProperly record tardy arrivals and early dismissals in the school’s SISVerify absence notes and investigate any discrepancies in attendance informationInventoryReceive and process shipped orders; check and properly file packing slips. Maintain inventory of technology, furniture, curriculum and suppliesCreate and apply asset labels to relevant inventory and coordinate inventory additions/deletions with the Operations Manager and Accounting ManagerOther Duties as AssignedOperate and troubleshoot schoolwide office equipment e. g. copiers, scanners, and printersProvide assistance to the Operations Manager in the implementation of breakfast/lunch, transportation, student arrival and dismissal, and other ancillary school services.
Work with the leadership team to plan and coordinate school eventsOther clerical and support duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Citizenship, residency or work VISA in the United States requiredA strong sense of personal accountability for student achievementDemonstrated ability to self-start, work independently and meet multiple deadlinesProven ability to provide the highest level of customer service and responseHigh degree of professionalism, confidentiality, business judgment, and cultural competenceProficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Fluency in English is required; proficiency in one or more additional language(s) spoken by our families is a plus.
