A Day In The LifeA Senior Director, in Supply Chain Management, plays a critical role in the overall management of Hertz’s supply chain. This role is responsible for the design and execution of multi-year category strategies across their assigned portfolio of spend. They are also responsible for the overall governance and the relationship management of suppliers providing services to Hertz.

Senior Directors are a key member of the Procurement Leadership Team and are responsible for partnering with Business Stakeholders in order to drive cost savings, reduce unnecessary waste, optimize the supplier network and effectively manage supplier risk and performance. This role requires individual contribution as well as the ability to manage highly effective teams. The minimum salary is 170K; commensurate with experience.

What You’ll DoDesign and implement global and North American category strategies in partnership with business stakeholders for assigned Hertz categories Leverage strong analytical skills to design and execute sourcing projects including strategy development, benchmarking, supplier negotiation, SOW and SLA development, award recommendation, business case presentation, risk management assessment and contract negotiation Proactively identify and resolve strategic supplier challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to Hertz’s operations Collaborate with field procurement leads to implement best practices and support regional sourcing activities Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations and monitor market dynamics, including supplier M&A activity, regulatory changes, and technological advancements, to inform category strategies.

Recruit, manage and develop a professional supply chain staff with specific focus on mentoring and developing talent Drive transformation in key supply chain processes and functions Ensure high-quality service delivery from global partners, develop and implement performance management strategies, and ensure compliance with operational standards (risk, regulatory, legal).

This includes managing third-party relationships, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and proactively mitigating risks related to supply disruptions Foster strong, trusted relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, develop and present compelling presentations to senior leadership, and drive impactful decision-making What We’re Looking ForBachelor's degree, with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in related field Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering cost savings and operational efficiencies.
