As a Legal Team Assistant in our Litigation team, you will play a key role in supporting the Office of General Counsel with litigation and dispute matters. You’ll assist with administrative tasks, document requests, financial reporting, and meeting coordination while ensuring the team runs efficiently.
Your role will also involve discovery document reviews, improving team processes, and supporting team learning requirements. Whether managing invoices, organising travel, or coordinating events, you’ll be a valued part of the team. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Providing administrative support to litigation team leads, including complex diary management and meeting logistics Assisting with litigation matter management, document requests, and discovery reviews Formatting, proofreading, and preparing legal documents, reports, and presentations Managing the team's professional learning requirements and key team dates Handling financial reporting, invoice management, and coordinating settlement payments Improving team processes and efficiencies Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, filtering enquiries, and directing requests appropriately Supporting the Senior Assistant in organising team events and training new starters About The TeamYou’ll be joining a collaborative and highly professional team within the Office of General Counsel.
The OGC is a team of approximately 40 legal practitioners servicing clients across all business units within Deloitte and providing strategic and operational advice. We also work with our peers across the national and global Chief Risk Officer communities to ensure that legal risks are mitigated, and any remaining risks are appropriately managed. Our focus is on balancing risk with practical legal advice, focussing on high quality, commercial outcomes aimed at enabling and protecting the business. Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You. You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment Experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant or team assistant in a private practice or in-house setting would be highly regarded Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace, managing multiple priorities and deadlines Strong administrative and organisational skills, with proficiency in MS Office Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs and improve processes A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in documents and correspondence Why Deloitte?
