Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced professional to join the prestigious Royal Marine Hotel as an Events Executive. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a proven track record in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment, ideally in an events coordination or similar role. This position is central to the planning and execution of events, requiring close collaboration with the hotel's Operations Team to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly and professionally to all event, wedding and conference enquiries via email, phone and in person.

Deliver outstanding customer service, exceeding expectations both over the phone and face-to-face. Provide accurate and timely quotations, proposals and contracts to clients. Maintain detailed and up-to-date event files and documentation. Negotiate event packages and proactively drive sales. Manage client expectations with a focus on over-delivery and satisfaction. Handle guest feedback and complaints in line with hotel standards, ensuring positive outcomes. Promote hotel events and maximise sales opportunities across all departments. Stay informed on competitor offerings, market trends and promotional strategies. Perform daily administrative duties within the Events team. Represent the hotel at off-site events as required.

Conduct site visits and show-arounds, upselling hotel services and identifying new business opportunities through cold calling, telephone sales and mail campaigns. Ensure all event-related documentation is accurately maintained and systems are kept up to date. Candidate ProfileMinimum 2 year of experience in a similar sales or events role within a hotel setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, professional attitude. Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail. Customer-focused and standards-driven. Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in administrative tasks and event management systems.
